"Muitos Anos de Vida" é uma instalação em forma de oratório doméstico que usa a vela como símbolo de ligação ao etéreo: acende-se em homenagem a quem partiu e sopra-se para fazer um pedido. Nela, a intimidade do luto se mistura ao ambiente festivo de aniversário, criando um espaço que ao mesmo tempo é festa e memória.
O oratório é aberto dos dois lados e o seu interior é revestido de espelhos, sugerindo um espaço de passagem ou portal. Durante o tempo da exposição, estiveram disponíveis velas de aniversário de diferentes tipos na sua gaveta, das quais os visitantes eram convidados a escolher e fazer um pedido ao oratório/portal. Após soprar a vela, depositavam-na num suporte coletivo, em memória ao desejo. Através de um gesto íntimo, a instalação transformava um ato cotidiano num ritual.

“Muitos Anos de Vida” is an installation in the form of a domestic oratory that uses the candle as a symbol of connection to the ethereal: it is lit in honor of those who have passed, and blown out to make a wish. In it, the intimacy of mourning blends with the festive atmosphere of a birthday, creating a space that is both celebration and memory.
The oratory is open on both sides, and its interior is lined with mirrors, suggesting a passageway or portal. During the exhibition, various types of birthday candles were available in its drawer, from which visitors were invited to choose one and make a wish to the oratory/portal. After blowing out the candle, they would place it on a collective holder, in memory of their wish. Through this intimate gesture, the installation transforms a daily act into a ritual.
